REPAIR INSTRUCTIONS

These steps must be completed on the Bibliotech Server.  All workstation modules MUST be shutdown.

1. Stop FFServer manager (white icon near clock)

2. Check the size of the FFLibrary directory (Right-click and check properties)

3. Copy the  ?:\FFLibrary\*.ffd files to another location

4. Check free hard disk space on the drive where the FFLibrary directory is. - Please ensure that the free hard disk space is at least three (3) times greater than the the FFLibrary directory as identified in Step 2.
 
5. Run the Repair Program on the Bibliotech server (It can be run from any drive or directory)

6. Click on [Reconstruct Files]

7. Once repair is complete, reboot server

8. Start Bibliotech

PLEASE NOTE:  It is highly recommended that the Bibliotech Server is shut-down and restarted at least once a week.

 

If you are getting indexing errors or Key Violation Errors then you need to run the Backup/Restore procedure to rebuild all your data tables and indexes.  Go to FAQ23 for the procedure.
