Version 7 has many new features and usability enhancements. Amongst them are:

- Introducing
the first Modules of
BiblioTECH
Web: Standard Web Search, Advanced Web Search and Web Circulation
- New: Integrated
Web Server: (independent of MS Internet
Information Server)
- Improved:
Standard Web Search: Web search has been
enhanced so that it now is at a similar level to the Standard Search
- New: Advanced
Web Search: Advanced Web Search offers fine
control over search parameters
- New: Web
Circulation: A new Web module – Web CIRC has
been added enabling circulation via any modern browser
- New:
Web Circulation offers a “Force Due Date” preset
– allowing the pre-definition of due dates for subsequent
loans
- New: Automated
Web-Link Scanning: this option will scan all
links in all Weblink fields for all items and test them and provide a full
report of any dead links.
- New: Advanced
Reporting: Crystal Reports support –
design your own reports using Crystal Reports – the foremost Reporting Tool in
the world today
- New:
High Speed Searching: Search speed has
been increased so Searches are now 10 to 50 times faster. Searches typically
complete in under 50 msec
- Notes Searching:
V7 searches and displays the full Contents Notes
- New: USMARC
export: This allows cataloguing off-site
– items can be catalogued and bar-coded/spine-labelled off-site including
setting the barcode and custom fields, exported to US Marc and then imported
into the Main Catalogue.
