This program is for use with "LinksPlus" Web Link files
Operation If you have previously imported a Web Links Plus Marc file you will need to change the Place of Purchase field for all web links to LPM. For instructions click here. Perform a Bibliotech Backup in the Utilities Module (see FAQ #21) Download the above file to your local Hard Drive Run the program --> BTWebLinks_7_4g.exe You will need to type a password to gain access to the WebLink Importer
You may set a default Dewey Value for your WebLinks by typing in the “Dewey value for Weblinks field. Otherwise leave WWW and this will be your default setting. Click on the [Select Web Link Data File] button and browse to the location of the supplied WebLink File (Links Plus Marc File). The importer will count the number of records in the file and then ask if it is a full import file or a monthly upgrade file. Select the appropriate type
If you select [Full Import] all of your previously imported “LinksPlus Marc” WebLinks will be replaced. The importer will look for items with a place of purchase “LPM” and replace these records with the new file. If you select [Monthly Update] then the new WebLinks will be added. Click on [Import the Weblinks] When the import is complete the screen will turn blue. Click [Close].
